My family is always asking (begging) me to make these delicious yet easy sandwiches. This recipe has been a labor of love. I created it from a sandwich that I had at a restaurant in Nashville. I loved the sandwich and I frequented the establishment regularly for my fix. Unfortunately, we ended up moving out of state. I think I have finally perfected the recipe, and to me, it tastes even better!

If you have chosen to use frozen waffles as opposed to making our delicious homemade waffles, you will need to toast the waffles in a toaster before you begin. I like to set the waffles on a mesh wire cooling rack as I toast them. This step helps keep them crisp. |

A step that I try not to skip is microwaving the deli meat. You can put it all together on a plate or in a bowl, but you need to make sure you can cover it with a lid or something microwaveable. I usually heat it for a minute pull it out and move it around for even heating and then microwave it again for another minute. This step warms the meat up and makes for a better and quicker melt in the end. Place 1-2 slices of turkey on top of the bottom waffle, and then 1-2 slices of ham on top of the turkey. Layer one slice of swiss cheese over the ham. |

Now, place 1-2 slices of turkey on top of the bottom waffle, and then 1-2 slices of ham on top of the turkey. Once you have the meat situated nice and pretty, slap a slice of swiss cheese over the ham. |

Okay, here's my favorite part, use a spatula to spread a layer of the yummy strawberry cream cheese spread on the underside of the waffle that will be placed on top. I usually smear some on the sandwich and (accidentally) get some on my fingers. This stuff tastes soooo good I could eat it by the spoonful. We are all friends here, so I feel safe telling you, that sometimes I have to make a second batch because I ate too much of the first one. Wrap the sandwich in tin foil. Repeat this until you have made six sandwiches in total. Place sandwiches on a cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. |

Finally, you are going to wrap the sandwich in a medium-sized square of tin foil. Repeat this until you have made six sandwiches in total. I usually put the sandwiches on a cookie sheet and bake them in the oven set at 350° for 15 minutes. |

When the timer goes off remove the sandwiches from the oven. Unwrap them carefully as the steam can be hot. Cut the sandwiches in half and sprinkle with a dusting of powdered sugar. I like to serve these with a side of warm homemade maple syrup, (but you already knew that). |
